Burial

( ;D --> Burial is an electronic musician from South London. His eponymous debut album was released in 2006 to critical acclaim. The Wire magazine named it their album of the year and it came fifth in the Mixmag 2006 Album of the Year list. On Friday, September 28th 2007, a new Burial album was announced, and Untrue was released 6 weeks later on November 5th. Although both albums have been met with much critical acclaim, Burial remained anonymous until August 2008, stating in a past interview that “only five people know I make tunes”. In February 2008, The Independent reported that Burial was an alumnus of south London’s Elliott School named William Bevan (another alumnus, Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard, said in 2006 that Burial was in the year above him). The school’s alumni also include Kieran Hebden aka Four Tet, with whom Bevan has collaborated.)

PVLE

( ;D --> electronic witch house.  With 4 EP’s released since May, PVLE seems to be focused on a changing style as opposed to full length albums. Most of their releases are 3-4 songs long and generously priced. I would consider them a very underrated artist, with only a few purchases from Bandcamp users visible. Here we have almost a clubby style of witch house/chillwave album, it’s only 3 songs but every song is a slammer.)

( ;D --> Davidge, AKA award-winning producer/musician Neil Davidge, renowned previously for his production, co-writing and sonic-sculpting of music for Massive Attack, David Bowie, Snoop Dog, Damon Albarn, Primal Scream, Elizabeth Fraser and Mos Def, plus the hugely successful Halo 4 game score and soundtrack.)

Slo Light (US Release: Feb. 25th 2014. UK & ROW Release: March 2nd 2014.)

( ;D --> 'Slo Light' is the debut album by Davidge featuring vocal collaborators including Sandie Shaw, Cate Le Bon, Karima Francis, Stephonik Youth & Patrick Duff. An album deeply-schooled in Bristol beats, electronica, soundtracks, orchestral music and more, 'Slo Light' creates a fantasy world in which tension, darkness and beauty find the perfect equilibrium. The album is sky-high on production value, with an unparalleled clarity and sonic depth typical of Davidge's unique sound.)

Comaduster
tympanikaudio.com/artists/comaduster
( ;D --> Comaduster is the solo electronic project of the Canadian musician and sound designer, Réal Cardinal. Staring from a young age as a drummer, Cardinal quickly turned to writing his own compositions with computers and a modest assortment of gear. In 2008 Cardinal took a postition at BioWare Edmonton as a game sound designer on the ‘Mass Effect‘ and ‘Dragon Age‘ Franchises. In 2009 Cardinal self-released the debut Comaduster album / EP ‘Slip Through’ digitally for donation-only. The album featured a group of selected tracks from a period between 2002 and 2007, which were then re-mixed and reworked to create a fluid and cohesive collection of work. The dark and eclectic mix of IDM, Industrial, and Ambient elements made ‘Slip Through‘ a highly-regarded work by listeners and critics alike. The track “Foam Abattoir” was ultimately featured on Dependent Records ‘Septic XI’ compilation in 2010.)
Hollow Worlds
tympanikaudio.bandcamp.com/album/hollow-Worlds
( ;D --> Drawing from a deep well of influences, 'Hollow Worlds' encompasses a distinctive range of musical styles skillfully incorporating elements of industrial, dubstep, EDM, post-rock, glitch, IDM, ambient, and pop music into a wholly polished and cohesive assembly of work that garners cerebral as well as dancefloor allure. From start to finish, 'Hollow Worlds' executes a potent strike, sustaining a proficient balance of bass-heavy beats, gushing synth melodies, taut rhythmic structures, and absorbing lyrics with humanistic vocals to match.)

( ;D --> Psy'Aviah is an Industrial rock / Electroclash / Dark EBM band from Antwerp, Belgium. The band took form in 2004 and was mainly focused on playing live. Later that year they won the Studio Brussel Demopoll with The Future Of The Sun. In 2007 they teamed up with Len Lemeire (from Implant/32Crash fame) to record their first album Creationism. 2008 saw the signing to the Alfa Matrix record label and the release of a new album, featurings and remixes. 2010 brings the third album of Psy'Aviah entitled Eclectric, produced by band member Yves Schelpe and mastered by Geert de Wilde of IC 434 in Antwerp. Their third album brings again a mix of electric eclecticism, varying between styles always with a hint of darkness. This time they have invited some more guests such as Jean-Luc De Meyer of Front 242 fame to sing on the track Ophélie, and Jennifer Parkin of Ayria who guests on the track Into The Game.)
