Flavor of the Week #14

Hazylujah
www.hazylujah.com
( ;D --> Hazylujah. It’s immediately clear why Delsin sought him out. His tracks play with filtered, sci-fi synth motifs in a way that resembles more the general aesthetic of the label than any particular artist, combining an emphasis on ambience with loose, deeper techno structures.)
Too Many Ghosts
H_amazon
( ;D --> Delsin come correct with Hazylujah's strangely infectious 'Too Many Ghosts' debut. Much like the recent Xosar sessions, there's a genuinely unnerving and ethereal quality to Hazylujah's music; something abstract and unquantified which is really endearing to these ears at least. Leading out 'Hazylutrax' fixes a dark, stalking bassline to gremlin-like synth quirks, while 'Too Many Ghosts' is prone to dissolving the rhythm and reappearing at will amidst eerie acid tweaks and slanted synth dissonance. 'Dreams Logic' is markedly more sensual, in that drifty, track NWAQ style, a sound shared by the shimmering, dubbed surfaces of 'Minds Wired'.)

Perception Of Motion
( ;D --> Andy Verschaeren aka Max Cue is a producer and dj from Antwerp city, who's biggest influences are spread over eras and many different genres. (Thom Yorke, Serj Tankian, James Holden, Aaron Funk, Roisin Murphy, Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Chinmaya Dunster, Laurent Garnier) He has been obsessed with music since the age of 12. Producing his first sounds with Fast Tracker at the age of 16, then developing his talent with Fruity Loops and later on using Ableton Live.
Spinning the wheels has been a passion for a long time now, starting with trance & techno, followed by a darker period with hardcore and breakcore, which resulted in his darker melancholic style as you already have heard.)

Who is Redshape?;

( ;D --> Redshape hides his real identity behind a red mask at all times, even wearing it onstage at his club dates around Europe, which of late there have been many. The man behind the mask lives in Berlin, he does a rocking live act and he’s released half a dozen tracks over the last year on labels such as Delsin, Styrax Leaves and Music Man. Rumours indicates that behind the mask might be the face of a very famous producer indeed.. One things for sure Redshape has studied a lot of Detroit techno records: His sound is a new update on old school templates.)

Akkord
http://boomkat.com/search?fields[]=artist&q=Akkord
( ;D --> Exclusive* Sterling debut release from the enigmatic Akkord collective based in the peripheries of Manchester. For now, the provenance of their identity will be on a need-to-know basis: their music will yield more than names could inform. These three tracks are a distillation of their passions for "minimalism, art, design, mathematics and sacred geometry", and aesthetically occupy darker ground in the shade of the Autonomic sound. Checking in with the spectral robo-ragga of 'The Drums' - sounding something like Burial meets dBridge - they shapeshift into rolling Electro-Ruffige a la Boddika on 'Renewal' catalysed by muscular, rippling arpeggios and pointillist percussions, while 'Back & Forth' engages with tensely constructed Electro-step hyperspace. We're sure you'll agree; it's a strong look.)
