( ;D --> In The Nursery is the Sheffield-based musical project centered around the nucleus of twin brothers Klive and Nigel Humberstone. ITN's musical history spans more than 25 years and has constantly expressed their desire for progress and experimentation. Their sublime, cinematic music blends electronica, classical arrangements, orchestral percussion and soundscapes evoking a timeless quality. In The Nursery have released more than two dozen albums since 1981. The creative progress of the band’s albums has always consolidated their distinctive sound while taking on board contemporary influences. ITN’s music has been used on numerous film soundtracks and trailers including The Aviator, Interview with the Vampire, Along Came a Spider and The Rainmaker as well as the La Femme Nikita TV series. Parallel to their studio works, ITN have spent the last ten years developing their Optical Music Series, new scores for classic silent films.
The series to date has included The Cabinet of Dr Caligari, Asphalt, Man with a Movie Camera, Hindle Wakes, A Page of Madness, Electric Edwardians and their latest The Passion of Joan of Arc. ITN have performed their new scores at film festivals around the world.)

John Maus

( ;D --> John Maus lives in his birthplace of Austin, Minnesota. Whilst working towards his PhD in Political Science he also composes music that taps into melancholic fantasy and affirms that we are all truly alive. Questing synthesisers, tensely strung bass lines and chasing drum machines provide the perfect backdrop for John's deeply resonant reverb-drenched vocal. Born in the decade of synth pop and sharing his birthday with George Frideric Handel, John started making music when Nirvana posters went up on every teenager's wall. It's this curious conflux of influences that partially helps to describe John's music. It's a world where the Germs jam with Jerry Goldsmith, Cabaret Voltaire relocate to Eternia and Josquin des Prez writes a new score for RoboCop. The confrontation of punk, the fleeting poignancy of 80s movie soundtracks, the insistent pulse of Moroder and the spirituality of Medieval and Baroque music all find salvation in John Maus. After a spell working alongside Ariel Pink and Gary War in Haunted Graffiti, 2006 saw the release of John's debut album proper through Upset The Rhythm.)

Compact Space

www.myspace.com/compactspace
( ;D --> Compact Space was founded by Christian Eigner, Daryl Bamonte and Florian Kraemmer. For many years Eigner has played drums for Depeche Mode and has co-written a number of songs with Dave Gahan - for Depeche Mode as well as for Gahan’s last solo album, which he also co-produced. As a musician Eigner has contributed to hundreds of albums for various artists. Bamonte began working for Depeche Mode from the start of their career in 1980, taking on a varierty of roles before moving on in 1995 to work for The Cure for several years. The trio is completed by singer Florian Kraemmer. Kraemmer, like Eigner a native of Vienna, is the son of an actress and an opera singer, and took classical piano training from the age of eight. To date, he has worked mainly as a TV composer and has preserved his passion for classical music. The trio shares creative equality when they work on their songs. Daryl writes the lyrics, Florian develops the melodies and Christian puts together the powerful music that marks Compact Space with their own unmistakable style as soon as you listen to them. Compact Space has recently signed a worldwide licensing deal with Ferryhouse Productions in Hamburg. The first album "Nameless" and "Push Push" EP will be released simultaneously on 24th June 2011. The album was mixed by Paul 'P-Dub' Walton, and the aesthetics of Compact Space are also visually consistent: Danny Drysdale, who filmed among other things the Killers' hit "Human", made the video for "Push Push".)
